Joe Baldwin began high school with an interest in journalism and as a freshman the newspaper club was the first club he joined mainly out of an interest in writing and learning and wanting to inform other people of the happenings of the world. Hence his writing usually focusing on current events and history. Now he works as an editor to help other young writers.

Maya Dias

Maya Dias is a sophomore at the Academy for Information Technology. After actively contributing to her school newspapers in middle school and ninth grade, Maya is thrilled to continue to write for Campus Chronicle at UCVTS during her sophomore year. She hopes to spread positive messages and bring attention to unique perspectives through her articles, which consist of primarily news and opinion pieces.

Akwele Lokko is an Editor-in-Chief who has been on the newspaper team since her freshman year. She is now a junior, and attends the Academy for Allied Health Sciences. Shreya Nara

Shreya is currently a sophomore at AIT. She enjoyed writing for the newspaper club last year, specifically news articles. This year, she’s excited to continue writing for the Campus Chronicle and plans to explore some of the other categories. Shreya is thrilled to be a news editor this year. and help others share important current events with the UCVTS community. In her free time, she reads books, the genres ranging from politics and science books to historical and realistic fiction.

Vinch Bag-ao is a Magnet Sophomore who is also author and editor for Arts and Entertainment. He joined the club as a freshman in 2020 with an interest in politics, journalism and writing. In his free time, he likes to read books as well as learn more about our world. Though Vinch primarily writes about News and Opinion pieces, he is ready to expand his variety of writing into the world of Arts and Entertainment.

Dylan Intwala (Sophomore) has been part of the Newspaper Club for 2 years, and is currently an editor. His writing interests include technology, world news, and sports. Sara Schwartz (she/her) is a sophomore at Allied, and she is so excited to serve as a writer and editor for the Campus Chronicle this year. She is devoted to sharing unheard voices and speaking out for the right thing.
